BIENVENUE AUX NOUVEAUX CONSEILLERS MUNICIPAUX, ENFANTS

Monsieur le Maire, Mathieu SONNET, accompagné de son adjointe, Mme Sylvie PEREZ, en charge du Conseil Municipal Enfants, Monsieur Mohamed OUBARI, conseiller municipal en charge de la Démocratie Participative et de Monsieur Gilles HERMANT, conseiller municipal en charge de la Revitalisation du centre-ville ont eu le plaisir d’installer lors de la séance du 22 octobre 2022 le nouveau Conseil Municipal Enfants.

A cette occasion, les élus ont félicité les enfants pour leur engagement et leur ont remis badges tricolores, écharpes officielles pour les cérémonies ainsi que le matériel nécessaire pour travailler tout au long de leur mandat.

Le CME est renouvelé partiellement chaque année. Les nouveaux élus viennent donc compléter l’équipe élue l’an dernier.

Ce qui fait un total de 8 jeunes élus :
CM 2 : Mathieu DOUÉ, Maëlys BLANCHART, Ibrahim AIT KERROU et Elyna OUHENDI.
CM 1 : Elena SCATTA, Alexandre DECOEUR , Timéo COUTEL et Ceylan DEMEILLER.

A cette occasion, Monsieur le Maire, a remercié les conseillers Municipaux Enfants sortants en leur offrant un cadeau pour leur investissement.

What is the CHILDREN MUNICIPAL COUNCIL?

The creation of the Municipal Council for Children (CME) of the City of Fumay was born from the will of the “Rassemblement de Gauche” list during the municipal elections of 2008, in order to allow the free expression of children and their participation. to the life of the city.

A real training tool for the citizens of tomorrow,

its aim is to make Fumacian students into “young citizens” in their own right.

Concerns students attending schools in Fumay-Center, Fumay-Charnois in CE2, CM1 and CM2.

Several objectives:

Participate in the life of the municipality
Concretely influence their living environment
Collectively develop a project leading to tangible achievements
Familiarize yourself with democratic apparatus and processes

Some examples of projects and achievements that can be carried by the CME:

Prevention and road safety: partnership with the Municipal Police; be a pedestrian; safety in public transport ; ...
Environment: energy savings; collection and sorting of waste; use of the car;
Health: sport; balanced diet ; ...
Creation of signs to keep the city clean; ...
Model of the city, realization of certain heritage monuments in 3D.

To be a voter: be educated in CE2, CM1 or CM2 in Fumay
To be eligible: be enrolled in CM1 or CM2 in a Fumay school and reside in Fumay.

Councilors are elected for 2 years. The assembly is renewed every year by half.

Mr. Mayor, accompanied by his deputy, Mrs. Sylvie PEREZ, in charge of the Children's Municipal Council, and Mr. Mohamed OUBARI, city councilor in charge of Citizenship, had the pleasure of installing, during the meeting of January 23, 2021, the new Children's Municipal Council.

On this occasion, the elected officials congratulated the children for their commitment and gave them tricolor badges and official scarves for the ceremonies, as well as the necessary equipment to work throughout their mandate.
